Why Early Access?

“Early access allows us to work closely with our community to gather feedback and suggestions to help make OutRage: Fight Fest a great game. In a title with fast-paced action and chaotic combat, it’s crucial that the combat system feels tight, easy to access and fun for everyone while still having a level of skill to master. Working with our community while in Early Access allows players to play the game as we develop it and contribute via suggestions and feedback to the final release of OutRage: Fight Fest.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We do not have an exact date for when OutRage: Fight Fest will leave Early Access, but we expect the EA period to be approximately 6 months. Ultimately, we will only release once we feel that the game is ready and meets our internal and community expectations before we launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have more content, which will be added incrementally over time during the Early Access period. We plan to add more character variety, a larger selection of arenas, environments and weapons, along with support for local multiplayer and more!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version has 5 different game modes in addition to the tutorial and training modes. Online multiplayer for up to 16 players with custom/private lobby support, as well as bots for those who want to play solo or get good before beating their friends! A selection of cosmetic characters for players to choose from. Full UI localisation in our supported languages.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It is most likely that the price will increase during early access as we add more content or at launch. This is not yet definitive.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We currently use our Discord as the primary communication channel with our community. Players are encouraged to leave feedback, report any issues, and leave suggestions for new features, additions, and changes in our feedback, bug, and suggestions channels. We openly communicate upcoming changes with the community for early feedback, and we organise developer play sessions with the community to play the OutRage: Fight Fest demo along with pre-release versions of the game. As always, the Steam Community Forums remain a point of contact with the development team, where we can regularly answer any questions you may have and listen to your feedback. We will continue to develop this process over time based on the feedback and the needs of the community.”
