What is this Mod?
Short version: This is a Grass-fixing mod.

Generally-speaking, this mod makes the grass more dense, a little bigger, and grow normally on slopes.

This mod replaces vanilla grass-placement parameters with my own substitutes. I have mildly increased density, affected the maximum rendering ranges, and altered the dimensions of the grass gently in order to make it proportionally wider, which lets the same number of grass objects visually cover a bit more ground.

Because the grass is somewhat taller in the mod, various flowers, trees, shrubbery, and resource crystals have been increased in size buy a multiplier of 1.5x, and their density by the inverse ( 1 / 1.5 ).

Thanks to changes by HG, you can now control whether you use a short render range or a long render range by changing Planet Detail in graphics settings. Standard, Enhanced or High will use the shorter range option, while Ultra will use the longer range option.

Philosophy
I like flush, full grass coverage. I don't like craggy, patchy grass that looks lousy and unconvincing. I did something about it :)

Known Side-Effects
Grass Fix will re-randomize the species and positions of flora.

Grass Fix is not compatible with certain popular mods that change up the biomes, like Redmas's Fantasy or WoodyMontana's Better Planet Generation.

Ground Fix will cause the ground textures to split wherever Mountain meets Beach directly, if tessellation is enabled.

About Available Versions
I keep all of my uploaded files marked (on the Files page) with their packing date and version of the MBINCompiler I used to pack it. Any older mod that is no longer compatible with the current version of No Man's Sky will be demoted to the "Old Files" subsection, but will remain available for download. If I have missed one, please tell me.

This means that any mod files which are not hidden or demoted to the "Old Files" area can be expected to work.

MBINCompiler versions exactly match the version of No Man's Sky that was current when the MBINCompiler was made. In other words, MBINCompiler version = NMS version. This fact can be used to figure out which Legacy mods work with which Legacy versions of No Man's Sky.

Special thanks to Trevis and RaYRoD who each helped me learn about key factors required to control terrain appearance!

Hello Games for making the wonderful, vast, and fun game, No Man's Sky!

Big thanks to any and all of you lovely people who offer donations! It is greatly appreciated, and will help me buy lunch while I'm busy being a broke college student! :D

And, of course, all of the other modders who make mods too! It is very common that I inspect the work of other modders to learn how things are done. RangerDulannRedmasWoodyMontanajasondudeGumskMjjstralmoddinaccount, Devilin Pixy, saa044, and others have all helped me learn how to mod effectively! Without the other people mentioned here and their mods and applications, I would not be able to make any mods at all!
